Overview
Radiologic imaging affects all oncology patients. This one-day virtual course is designed to address a learning gap in APP knowledge on radiologic interpretation by providing a general overview of radiologic interpretation in the oncology population including imaging of the neck, breast, chest, abdomen, brain, spine, extremity, and whole body, including pediatric considerations, and its use in interventional oncology.
Modalities discussed will include X-Ray, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) scan, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and nuclear imaging scans. Additionally, we will take a deep dive into the use of radiologic imaging in the innovative field of interventional oncology.
Based on the positive feedback we received from past programs, we added additional interdisciplinary case studies throughout the day, utilizing tools for audience engagement, to reinforce the content learned and highlight the significance of radiologic interpretation through the cancer care continuum.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse practitioner students, physician assistant students, clinical nurse specialists, nurses, radiologist assistants, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and physicians.
