Overview
Max R. Gaspar, MD, was an attending surgeon at the Los Angeles County Hospital for over 50 years, and served as the Senior Vascular Surgery Attending at LAC+USC for twenty-five years. His teaching and scholarly accomplishments have had a long lasting impact vascular surgery in Southern California. This annual symposium addresses topics of interest to physicians and surgeons who care for the patient with vascular disease. The topic of the 2021 Max R. Gaspar, MD Symposium is “Current Trends in Hemodialysis Access.”
A distinguished faculty has been assembled for the symposium, designed to update the attendee on innovation and new strategies. Sixteen didactic and video lectures will be given to encompass the topics. This virtual conference puts aside designated time for question and answer sessions following each presentation. Attendees can submit questions that program faculty presenters may review and share their response. This year we are delighted to have Dr. Karl Illig, from Houston, Texas, as our Gaspar Visiting Professor. Dr. Illig will give his symposium address on September 9 at 11:15 am.
