OverviewThe 2024 Updates in Gastroenterology and Hepatology Course will explore the current state of the art in the fields of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and provide a concise update targeted to the practicing gastroenterologist, hepatologist, primary care provider, internist, family practitioner, nurse practitioner, physician assistant and nurse. This course is designed to address seminal updates to ensure that the busy practitioner has the most current knowledge in order to provide optimal care for their patients with gastrointestinal needs. Participants will learn practical strategies and diagnostic approaches to key practice areas including esophageal disease, motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreaticobiliary disease, cancer screening, liver disorders, abdominal pain and obesity. Using an integrated educational approach that encompasses didactic lectures, Q&A panels, debates and informal discussion, speakers will discuss recent advances in technology, research, diagnosis, guidelines and treatment strategies. In addition, the course is designed to provide participants with an opportunity to get to know the Stanford faculty, with a wide range of expert speakers and opportunities during sessions and breaks to interact in a personal setting.
