COURSE DESCRIPTION

This symposium will focus on providing the attendee an update on the latest aspects of ophthalmic best practices across the field, research updates regarding recently approved therapies for ophthalmic disease, and updated research regarding pipeline therapies that may soon be available.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of the program the participant will be able to:

• Identify and discuss the most recent techniques in the management of ocular conditions.

• Apply current research findings to better diagnose and manage patients with a variety of ocular diseases in the general ophthalmology clinic.

• Examine the benefits of preventive medicine in the management of degenerative ocular disease.

• Appreciate the rationale for recent efforts used to attempt to mitigate the severity of or to regenerate the functions that are lost due to degenerative ocular disease
