Overview:
The Esophagus Live 2023 event was organized by the Cleveland Clinic Digestive Disease & Surgery Institute (DDSI) on Friday, April 5, 2024. This one-day didactic and hands-on course was designed to provide attendees with clinical insights into interpreting high-resolution esophageal manometry and ambulatory esophageal pH monitoring and their use in suspected esophageal motility disorders and refractory GERD.
The main objectives of the course were to:
- Interpret high-resolution esophageal manometry and its use in evaluating esophageal motility disorders.
- Evaluate the role of esophageal pH monitoring in noncardiac chest pain and refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease.
- Identify the indications for endoscopic eradication of Barrett’s esophagus and hands-on experience with radiofrequency ablation and endoscopic mucosal resection.
