COURSE DESCRIPTION
Extremities in the Carolinas: Arthritis to Arthroplasty is an advanced course for physician assistants and nurse practitioners who treat arthritis of the extremities in adults and children. This course teaches the principles and techniques for management of extremity arthritis and current concepts in surgical and nonsurgical management.
COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
• Examine and apply basic scientific information and technical skills in arthroplasty
• Update knowledge regarding current evaluation and treatment of arthritis of the upper and lower extremities
• Review current practice management including proper coding, reimbursement, and state/national healthcare trends
• Develop new clinical and technical skills to improve delivery of healthcare to patients with upper and/or lower extremity arthritis
