The 1st Gender Perspectives In Oncology International Congress took place on 26th October 2023 in Rome, Italy. This congress was dedicated to gender medicine in oncology with international experts in the field. The congress explored sex and gender differences in the most important oncological contexts, giving particular attention to oncological therapies and their side effects.
The Scientific Committee included Marialuisa Appetecchia, Giovannella Baggio, Bianchini Marta Carè, Alessandra Fulvia Signani, Lauretta Rosa Malorni, Walter Mazzei, Teresita Moretti, Anna Maria Mormando, Marilda Ortona, Elena Piaggio, and Giulia Puliani.
The congress also had an Abstract Submission process. The deadline for submission was extended to October 4, 2023. The abstracts could be related to various topics such as Oncology and Antineoplastic therapies in Gender Medicine, Chronic diseases and Gender, Gender and Research, and New Frontiers in Gender Medicine. The abstracts could be accepted as a poster or an oral presentation
